Red CHARTA (http://www.charta.es)

Possibly the most ambitious collaborative project for the online publishing and editing of Spanish archival manuscripts, in its website it is defined as “a project aimed at the online publishing of a body of texts and old documents from the 12th to the 19th centuries from Spain and Hispanic America, with a rigorous triple presentation system (paleographic, critical, and facsimile-like) with the goal of satisfying various needs of researchers and general users.”

CHARTA is further described as  “a global project for the edition of Spanish archival texts that aims at integrating a solid philological foundation with the necessary information technology to thus provide researchers and those interested in language, history and culture a set of digital texts that are trustworthy and may be tested and quoted directly in studies of different fields.”
